Heure : 19 h 00 à 20 h 36 Description :
Following the recent success of the 34th edition of Cinéfest Sudbury International Film Festival, Cinéfest Sudbury organizers are happy to announce CHIEN BLANC as the final Red Carpet Patron Program film presentation of 2022. The French Canadian drama, directed by Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette and starring Kacey Rohl and Denis Ménochet, is set to screen at SilverCity Sudbury on Wednesday, November 23 at 7:00 p.m.
As the country explodes under racial tensions after the assassination of Martin Luther King, writer Romain Gary (Ménochet), humanist and animal lover, and his wife, star Jean Seberg (Rohl), civil rights activist, welcome an abandoned dog into their home who is trained to attack black people. Romain refuses to have him euthanized, at the risk of jeopardizing the balance of his relationship with Jean, an active participant in the Black Panthers. Director Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette’s previous feature film INCH’ALLAH screened as a Cinéfest Gala Film Presentation in 2012.
Individual tickets are available now with limited availability at www.cinefest.com, at the Cinéfest Box Office (located at 40 Larch Street, Unit 103), or by calling 705-688-1234. All Red Carpet Patrons are granted free admittance and one (1) free popcorn voucher with their Red Carpet Patron card.
